active and informed participant in the care and treatments being given.

This system can be managed by one person or by many, has the potential to bring a family together where family members can be involved as a team taking responsibility for different parts of the care in a specific, organized manner, as well as act as an effective communication tool between caregivers and enable more accurate recall of the care being given at home to attending professional.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

  1. How to document the care you are giving by keeping track of such things as Medications given, Bandage changes, Tube feedings, Vital Signs (Blood Pressure, Pulse, Respirations) and other necessary information using the custom made “Daily Sheets.”
  2. How to evaluate the effectiveness of pain medications by using the universal pain assessment rating tool (The Wong-Baker Faces) and how to document that effect.
  3. How to use the various logs and lists to keep track of doctor appointments, special procedures, X-rays, surgeries, an overview of medications, and other crucial information.
  4. How to organize bills, co-pays, and health insurance explanation of benefits (EOBs) into 2 large 3 ring binders for easy access to oversee finances and health insurance benefits.
  5. How to organize a zipper closure binder with a handle to be able to easily carry important information to doctor appointments, ER visits, and other necessary situations
